Training and Events Schedule
We have scheduled
approximately one event per month.
Please check back for schedule and location changes.
Additional events (including training exercises and public outreach events which we are
invited to attend) may be added from time to time.

Monday, March 22
Annual JCART Dinner6 to 9 PM, Jefferson County Fairgrounds Auditorium
Please join us for a free dinner and a chance to hear what each of the volunteer groups in the Jefferson County Animal Response Team is doing.
Please RSVP to info@animalEVAC.org by Monday, March 15 if you plan to attend.
Friday, April 23
AEV Annual Meeting and Potluck Dinner6:30 to 9 PM, Intercanyon Fire Station 3
In addition to the Board of Directors' Annual Meeting and Officer Elections, we will review our callout procedures and make sure that we have up-to-date contact information for all of our volunteers.
Friday, May 21
Field Exercise6 to 9 PM, Intercanyon Fire Station 1
We are going to try something a little different for this year's field exercise. The scenario will focus on our communication and team organizational skills. We will provide dinner prior to the exercise.
Saturday, June 19
Bailey Day8 AM to 5 PM, Downtown Bailey
Please plan to help staff our booth as we raise funds for AEV and provide information to the public about animal emergencies.
Friday, July 16
Training Session: Bird Handling7 to 9 PM, Intercanyon Fire Station 1
The Gabriel Foundation will present an exceptional program about how to handle birds. We held a similar training class several years ago and it was very well received by our volunteers. We will ask for donations from those attending to cover the Gabriel Foundation's expenses, but this is not a requirement of attending the training session.

Board of Directors meeting7 to 9 PM, Location TBA
All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.
Friday, September 17
End of Season Picnic6 to 9 PM, The Luty's home
A time to get together and swap stories about all of our callouts...or celebrate the quiet summer!
Friday, October 15
Training Session7 to 9 PM, Intercanyon Fire Station 3
We will select a training topic based upon needs identified over the summer. This will be our last scheduled event for 2010, as we get ready for another busy holiday and mushing season.
Event Locations
Please note that we are using two different Intercanyon Fire Stations.Intercanyon Station 1 is located at 7939 S. Turkey Creek Rd (at the Intersection of Deer Creek Rd).
Intercanyon Station 3 is located at 8445 South US Highway 285 (near Windy Point).
